Bienvenidos! I’m Vanessa and I’m so glad that you’ve stopped by. It is pretty exciting to share my family’s adventures with you. We’re a family of 4. Let me start by introducing my Husband Cal, and our two girls Punky (10) and Cat (8). It’s a pleasure to have you here.

These tales, insights and travel tips are here to make you laugh but hopefully they encourage you to pack up and collect experiences.  I recently experienced a career changing event (that’s code for, I was laid off). When Cal asked me what I want to do now, my response was simple, “I want to travel.”

Now he knows this about it, traveling brings me joy. Of course because he’s my painfully “logical” husband, he looked at me sideways and (if my memory serves me correctly) he asked me if I planned to re-marry someone very wealthy. Ha ha ha – isn’t he hilarious? To his great fortune, I’m madly in love with him and he with me – so we’ll just have to find a way to manifest my dreams together.

That’s how I got here…the official launch of Punkyvisits, soon to be an award winning, best selling series of books. But for now, I’m sharing our family’s travel adventures here for all to enjoy and, hopefully, learn from.

All of these posts are based on our travels; including tips and tricks that have helped us manage our girls through road trips, airports, rest stops and TSA. I sincerely hope that we can inspire you to take your own adventures, make amazing memories and raise children with an appreciation for this very small world of ours.
